Visa-Free Entry for Short Stays

Holders of ordinary passports of the following countries may travel to China without a visa as long as their visit does not last longer than the visa-free period listed below:

1 - No more than 90 days within any 180-day period. 

2 - No more than 90 days within any 1 calendar year. 

3 - Until 14 September 2026. 

4 - For British citizens only.

240-Hour Transit Waiver

Nationals of 55 eligible countries (including the US, Canada, UK, Australia, and most EU nations) may enjoy visa-free entry to China for up to 240 hours (10 days) when transiting through designated ports to a third country or region (e.g., Hong Kong, Macau, or a different international destination).
