Introduction

The RSC PreDoc Symposium is a premier academic forum for postgraduate students in chemistry and related disciplines. It offers a vibrant platform for early-career researchers to present their findings, engage in meaningful dialogue, gain expert guidance and enhance their visibility within the scientific community. 

The RSC PreDoc Sympoium aims to cultivate the next-generation of chemical scientists, helping them to grow both academically and professionally. As a key part of RSC FIRST 2026: AI in Chemistry, the 2026 RSC PreDoc Symposium warmly invites young talents worldwide to join us on 20 November 2026.

Participants will have their presentations evaluated by a distinguished panel of field-leading experts, gaining a unique opportunity to receive guidance from leaders in the chemical sciences. Those established researchers and professionals provide:

Eligibility

The symposium is a premier platform dedicated to postgraduate students and is specifically designed for the students currently active in scientific research. To qualify for a presentation, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Student status: applicants must be full-time postgraduate students currently enrolled at a recognised research university or institution or equivalent 
Research focus: presentations must feature original research findings that align with the scientific themes of the 2026 Symposium 
How to Apply for Presentation

To apply for a presentation, candidates are required to submit an abstract in advance. As mentioned above, the RSC PreDoc Symposium is a dedicated platform for post-granduate students, so we will only consider submissions from full-time postgraduate students. The Scientific Committee will conduct a preliminary screening and notify applicants of the results shortly after the submission deadline.
